Act 270 New Uniform Commercial Building Code

2G Sunset to Impact WI

We have been informed by Uplink that AT&T plans to sunset the majority of the 2G networks that serve the Wisconsin area. This will happen before the end of October 2014. A list of impacted ZIP codes can be found on our website. We encourage all dealers to contact existing customers who may be impacted by this soon-to-be defunct communication vehicle.

WIESA’s 2014 Annual Memorial Golf Outing

WIESA’s 2014 Annual Memorial Golf Outing will be named in remembrance of Tom Girmscheid who passed away in a traffic accident on his way home after work. Come and join us as we celebrate Tom’ s life and get a great day of golf in.  Golf Club’s 27-hole layout offers golfers of all abilities a unique and exciting experience. The golf course is very playable yet challenging enough for a sense of accomplishment.  Set in the rolling hills of the beautiful Northern Kettle Moraine in the Village of Elkhart Lake, it offers some of the best vistas in Southeastern Wisconsin.

School Safety Conference Presents Guidelines for an Effective School Security Program

The Wisconsin Electronic Security Association is taking a leadership role nationwide in ensuring the safety of children, teachers and school personnel.

The Electronic Security association (ESA), has completed a comprehensive resource for school officials who are developing or adding to their electronic security systems as part of their overall school security plan. This resource, “Electronic Security Guidelines for Schools” is a document meant to inform and advise school decision makers about their options, and the critical role of electronic security.

A conference for the live presentation of “Electronic Security Guidelines for Schools” will take place May 19, 2014 at the Country Springs Conference Center. Security Industry Experts with specific experience in securing K-12 schools will lead a series of panel discussions. read more…
