Per Mar Security Services Awards Academic Scholarships

Per Mar Security Services, a leading provider of total security solutions for residential and commercial clients founded in Davenport, IA, is pleased to announce it has awarded twenty-one, $500 scholarship awards for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Each year, children of Per Mar or Midwest Alarm Services employees can apply for scholarships to be used towards higher education. “We are glad that we are able to award scholarships to deserving students,” said Brain Duffy, Chief Operating Officer. “It’s great to see the program expand more this year.”

Congratulations to all of the recipients of Per Mar’s Scholarship Program for the 2019-2020 school year.

Nathan Check is the son of Scott Check, a Technician out of our Wausau branch. Nathan is studying at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Cameron Melk is the daughter of Matt Melk, District Operations Manager for our Wausau branch. Cameron is studying nursing at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Jenna Rach is the daughter of Dave Rach, Sales Consultant at the Madison branch. Jenna is studying Pharmacology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ian Stussy is the son of Pete Stussy, Sales Consultant at the La Crosse branch. Ian is studying Finance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

STANLEY Security Donates $10,000 to Fishers, Ind., Police Department

STANLEY Security recently presented the police department of Fishers, Ind., with a donation of $10,000 in honor of fallen K-9 Harlej, who passed away in November 2019. Harlej was shot and killed by a suspect during a manhunt after following him into a wooded area. The man was later apprehended by Harlej’s handler, Fishers Patrolman Jarred Koopman.

A division of Stanley Black & Decker, STANLEY Security is a provider of integrated security solutions for a variety of industries including education, retail, healthcare, financial services and government. Their products include intrusion detection software, fire alarms, video surveillance systems and other safety solutions.

“Being headquartered in Fisher, STANLEY Security has developed a close-knit relationship with the Fishers PD,” Robert Dro, STANLEY Security chief financial officer, said. “We are pleased to be offering the Fishers PD a donation toward a new canine officer to thank them for their unwavering dedication and service to our community.”

STANLEY Security first established roots in Fishers in August 2017. Since their arrival in Fishers, they have worked closely with the Fishers Police Department on a number of projects, including the donation of Macho, another K-9 officer, to the department in 2018.

“STANLEY Security has been a collaborative partner for us throughout the years,” Ed Gebhart, Fishers Police Chief, said. “Receiving this donation from them will help us create a more secure environment within the Fishers Community and we look forward to continuing our relationship with STANLEY Security in the future.”

WISA Makes Donation to AIREF

WISA Makes a Donated of $1000.00 to the AIREF to help research and education that serves the electronic security industry. Funds raised through the tournament will be funneled into initiatives that support workforce development efforts to attract more qualified talent to our growing and evolving industry.

Holiday Party raises money for Youth Scholarship

Thank you to everyone for coming out to the annual WISA Holiday Party at the Holiday Inn in Pewaukee last night. We would like to give thanks to our sponsors: ADI, Anixter, APD, Cassidy, DSC, H&S Protection, IP Security Reps, JCI, and WHIRC for donating prizes. A special Thank You to Jean Novy for coming out to run our 50/50 scholarship raffle! The raffle brought in an additional $320 to be given to our 2020 WISA Youth Scholarship winners in May. Everyone had a great time, and we are looking forward to next year’s event!
