We have participated in the United Way for over ten years in our combined Waukesha and Stevens Point offices. This year, the combined pledge from employees in the two offices is $5,429, and H&S Protection will match that amount to double our company’s contribution, for a total of $10,858.
We’re proud to contribute to the causes the United Way supports in southeast and central Wisconsin, where H&S Protection’s two offices are located. We’re also proud of our strong employee commitment to contributing, as annually we have close to 100 percent participation. It means a lot to us to help causes that improve the lives of others in the communities we serve.

Frisco, Texas (May 31, 2019) – Resideo Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: REZI), a leading global residential provider of critical comfort and security solutions, and distributor of low-voltage and security products
, is funding $100,000 to help promote the work of the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC). The announcement was made at ISC West in Las Vegas.
“SIAC has proven to be an effective advocate for our industry, which is subject to regulations from numerous municipal agencies across the United States,” said Niccolo de Masi, president of Products and Solutions, and chief innovation officer at Resideo. “At Resideo, we remain committed to the pro channel and our goal is to connect consumers with the do-it-for me professional dealer to help provide a safer home.”
SIAC has helped establish 15 state alarm management committees in association with state associations of chiefs of police. SIAC continues to monitor local and state-wide news for mentions of false alarms and new alarm ordinances, and proactively reaches out to communities to promote the model ordinance.
“By having one voice for our industry networking with law enforcement leaders and government officials, SIAC has helped develop and implement a model that allows our industry to function effectively. Our contribution will support this important work that protects our industry and the customers we serve,” said Alice DeBiasio, vice president and general manager, Residential Pro Security at Resideo.
“Consolidation in our industry has been a real challenge to funding our operations,” said Stan Martin, SIAC executive director. “Requests for our support by law enforcement agencies continues to increase. We recently received support for the model ordinance from the National Sheriffs’ Association and the National Association of Chiefs of Police.”
“SIAC does not sell products or services, we have no membership dues. We are a free resource to law enforcement as we strive to keep good and fair ordinances in place, maintain relationships with law enforcement leadership and work to eliminate onerous provisions that can be costly to dealers,” said Martin.

On June 4th, 2019 the Electronic Security Association and state chapters, including WISA, voted to end the chapter agreement effective December 31st, 2019.
The Electronic Security Association and state chapters feel this change will bring more mobility among the national and state associations, in addition to its members. Going forward members will have the choice to be a part of ESA, WISA or both.
The WISA Board of Director is working hard exploring new opportunities and we’re excited for your participation. Meantime, WISA will continue to offer training classes, along with popular events like the Golf Outing, Award Ceremony, Holiday Party and Trade Show.
With these new changes in mind, we need your vote! On October 24that 5:00PM there will be a discussion and a vote on changes to WISA’s bylaws. We will also discuss the potential new landscape of training.
Location: WISA Trade Show at the Timber Rattler Stadium
