Recognize Your Employees

WISA holds an annual award meeting each year, where every member of our organization can recognize an outstanding administrative person, technician, or sales person. There is no addition cost to our members to nominate your employee, all you have to do is complete the Awards Nomination Form and turn it in. If your nominee is selected by our Association’s Past Presidents, you will need to present your award during our annual celebration. The only question left is do have a person in mind that went way above and beyond for you? Now is the time to show your appreciation and recognize those individuals that you feel are outstanding in the industry. Nominations are now being accepted all year long.

Professional Development

It is critical for all security companies to participate in continuing education in order to enhance their knowledge, improve their installation skills, and meet state licensure and national credentialing requirements. Participation in continuing education, whether mandatory or voluntary, offers the potential to be one of the most powerful tools to ensure safe, efficient, and quality technicians. The Wisconsin Security Association recognizes the value of, and need for, participation in continuing education and recommends that companies participate in educational activities on a continual basis. WISA members utilize our CEU programs yearly to maintain several certifications they own. This training is classroom formatted with high quality instructors for high level discussion. WISA encourages all of our members who have completed the required entry level education to pursue higher levels of knowledge and graduate degrees relevant to their professional pursuits.

General Members Meeting

One of the most valuable benefits of attending our Membership Meeting is the ability to network with and learn from fellow members. It is nearly impossible to leave a WISA Event without learning something from our fellow members that will enhance your business. These events offer direct access to local dealers, local officials, and manufacturers of alarm systems. During these meetings it also provides an opportunity to influence decisions that shape and affect the association and the industry through active participation in local and/or state committees. We provide companies with updates on the latest industry information and local ordinances that impact our business we services.

Member Spotlight!

We’re excited to launch a new member spotlight feature in WISA’s quarterly newsletter, The Rampart. This is a great opportunity for fellow members to gain a better understanding of each other’s company’s and encourages more engaging general membership meetings in the future. Members are picked at random during meetings and interviewed by a WISA board member. Industry related topics range from new innovations a company has implemented, company biographies, accolades, achievements and more. Be sure to bring your business card to the next meeting to drop in the bowl and start brainstorming ideas for your company, as you may be next in the spotlight.

Annual Golf Outing

The WISA Annual Golf Outing is a great opportunity to get together with fellow members, dealers, and manufactures of alarm systems to network and socialize. Everyone is able to get together in a more relaxed atmosphere, compete in golf contests, such as longest drive men/women, longest putt and closest to cup from the fairway, win raffle prizes and participate in our silent auction, all while supporting the Wisconsin Security Association. Many sponsorship opportunities are available to everyone. Held in September each year, this great event cannot take place without all of our outstanding members! We hope to see you at this year’s outing!
